Bill Clinton has two ant farms, in case you were wondering
Bill Clinton loves ants.
Yeah, you read that correctly. He loves 'em. In fact, Clinton loves the tiny insects somuch that he is the very proud owner of two ant farms. Not just one. Two.
On Thursday during a speech at the Partnership for a Healthier America Summit -- an organization dedicated to fighting childhood obesity, chaired by former FLOTUS Michelle Obama -- the former president revealed he is now the father of many cute little ants.
Aww. 🐜

He reportedly keeps one of the farms on his desk at the Little Rock, Arkansas presidential library, and the status of the other ant farm is unknown. However, we would very much like to think it sits atop Bill and Hillary's nightstand so that they could say goodnight to the ants each night before falling asleep.
Now we know what you're thinking: "Why in the world did Bill Clinton bring up his personal ant farms during this speech?"
Was he missing them? Did an ant crawl across his microphone mid-speech and he just couldn't resist the urge to brag about his little fellas back at home? No. This guy was the president, so he's obviously trying to teach us all a valuable, profound lesson here.

Bill Clinton got on the topic of ants because he was describing an "important political book" -- Edward O. Wilson's The Social Conquest of Earth --that he often discusses with his staff and others.
Clinton said he feels the book has the power to "make us all much healthier as citizens," and explained one of the main takeaways is that of all the species that have inhabited Earth, the most successful are ants, termites, bees, and human beings.
"What do they have in common?" he asked the audience. They're all great at cooperation.
Ants are loyal and when they work together they have the ability to pull off some astounding feats, like building bridges with their bodies, so Bill may be onto something.

He further reflected on the thought, saying, "Diversity, inclusion and creative collaboration leads to better results."
The former POTUS then took time to praise Michelle Obama's "Let's Move" campaign and efforts to keep kids active and healthy.
Obama is set to address childhood obesity at the summit Friday, but she'll have to really make an effort to top this precious ant-ecdote. You could even say she'll need to up the ante.
