'A Quiet Place' is getting a sequel
The folks at Paramount Pictures are already working on a sequel to A Quiet Place.
Following A Quiet Place's early critical and commercial success, Paramount chairman and CEO Jim Gianopulos announced at CinemaCon that the studio was working on a sequel to the thriller, Varietyreported Wednesday.
SEE ALSO:John Krasinski explains how he weaponized sound in 'A Quiet Place'A Quiet Placewas directed by John Krasinski who also starred in the film alongside his wife, Emily Blunt. The pair play a set of parents who live with their children in complete isolation and silence with the constant fear that any noise could attract the deadly monsters that already took care of most of the population.
Since its release in March, A Quiet Placehas held strong at the box office after debuting with the second strongest domestic opening in 2018 (first place goes to Black Panther, of course).
We don't know much about the sequel yet, including if Krasinski and Blunt will return, but we're excited for more scares -- of the fictional kind, of course.
