Robert De Niro commends Meryl Streep's 'beautiful' Trump speech
Meryl Streep's condemnation of president-elect Donald Trump during her Golden Globes speech on Sunday still continues to have a powerful effect, despite never even mentioning his name.
In the speech, Streep made her profound heartbreak known about Trump's mocking of a disabled reporter at a rally during his campaign last year. The speech might have divided opinions, but there's also plenty of people who have sung her praises.

The letter, published by Peoplemagazine, is as follows:
Meryl –
What you said was great. It needed to be said, and you said it beautifully. I have so much respect for you that you did it while the world was celebrating your achievements. I share your sentiments about punks and bullies. Enough is enough. You, with your elegance and intelligence, have a powerful voice – one that inspires others to speak up as they should so their voices will be heard too. It is so important that we ALL speak up. We love you.
Bob
De Niro said in a video last year that he wanted to punch Trump in the face, calling the president-elect a "punk" as well as a "con, a bullshit artist" and "blatantly stupid."
Streep and De Niro have previously been in films together, co-starring in 1984's Falling In Love and 1974's The Deer Hunter.
Suffice it to say, you'll be hearing plenty more from these two in the next four years.
