Over the last year, Atlas Obscura’s community of curious travelers has added thousands of places to our compendium of the world’s hidden wonders. It’s an eclectic mix to say the least—from curiosity shops to haunted hotels, isolated eateries to geological formations. We love them all, but a few of these new additions really stood out from the rest. These are our editors’ favorite places added to the Atlas in 2019. As we keep exploring and adding to the map, we can’t wait to see what next year holds.
